What do people think about The Skills Network

Upon evaluation of the recent customer feedback for The Skills Network (TSN), a bifurcated sentiment emerges, delineating a company with contrasting experiences relayed by its clientele. A set of reviews sternly criticize the organization, mentioning "utter shambles" in reference to the ICT courses, an unqualified line manager, and tutors with "zero knowledge on the subject matters." The depth of dissatisfaction is punctuated by a reviewer who advises others to avoid the company and highlights stark issues regarding the content and administrative oversight. Adding to the potential concerns, another user recounts a misleading experience with claimed "fully funded" courses which turns into a prompt to purchase allegedly non-funded courses after providing personal information and performing competency tests, suggesting a possible lack of transparency in TSN's processes.

Conversely, other reviews build a narrative of a supportive and flexible learning environment. The nexus of positive feedback centers on personal touch and adaptability; users with health issues appreciate the ease of receiving extensions and note the "respectful, considerate and helpful" nature of TSN staff. A few testimonials underscore the beneficial impact of the courses and the encouragement received from the tutors, with particular emphasis on the usefulness of the course content and the support structure put forth by TSN. Users tell stories of how these courses have been instrumental in their professional growth or personal circumstances, such as understanding a child's autism better. Furthermore, the flexibility of study modes and the apparent investment in students' success provide a strong character reference for the company in these instances.

These dichotomous narratives indicate that while TSN has undoubtedly positively impacted several learners, there is a signal of systemic issues that could affect its reputation adversely. The experiences described suggest there may be inconsistencies in course quality, tutor expertise, and administrative communication. These themes and recurring motifs should be considered by potential customers as they may impact their overall experience and the effectiveness of the courses provided by The Skills Network.

Although I can not comment on all of the tutors, It is fair to suggest that the ICT courses are an utter shambles, a clueless line manager who isn't old enough to hold the title, who is also clearly oblivious to the companies internal policies and procedure's. Tutors with zero knowledge on the subject matters, solely reliant on slides that offer no value and most are factually incorrect, the person who wrote the course stating that regardless of the discrepancies' and misinformation which plagued the entire course that none of it mattered as it was purely all about " revenue and retention" which should strike alarm bells to anybody wanting to study with this company. I am fully aware what libel is & Infact have all the screenshots of all these conversations and more to prove any factual statement I make. My honest advice would be to stay away.

Claims courses are fully funded, you choose the course you are interested in, enter your Postcode and get informed Funding available. You have a lengthy application/enrollment to complete - along with sensitive personal information. Complete English and Maths competency tests. After which you receive an Email saying they will NOW search out a Funding Partner. (You've ALREADY been informed Funding is available) Next day you get an Email saying "Sorry we couldn't find Funding for your course, therefore we are closing this application. HOWEVER, you can purchase this Course (ranges £250-£299) And this is NOT my first application. Oh and EVERY application starts from scratch!

The staff are really friendly and they will contact you and give you options on the courses they currently have. The courses look fantastic and can help you gain skills that will look good on your CV. You can learn anything it depends on the individual if they are willing to learn and put in the extra effort. I am planning to study the funded courses. I love learning! In some countries, you have to pay for courses that don't have funding options.
